The working principle of a powder coating booth
How the powder-coating booth works: In operation, a centrifugal fan draws air continuously from inside the booth through a filter element, lifting and extracting the powdered material. This creates a steady, low-speed, high-volume airflow that moves inward from the outside at the booth’s working opening. The circulating air effectively prevents airborne powder from escaping the booth entirely. However, because of the filter element, only air can pass through the fan for exhaust—while the powder is trapped by the filter and remains inside the booth. Over extended periods of operation, though, the accumulated powder on the filter surface can cause significant clogging, reducing the efficiency of the recovery system. To address this issue, the system incorporates a "pulse-back-blow" mechanism, which manually clears the buildup of powder from the outer surface of the filter. This ensures smooth airflow and maintains optimal performance, guaranteeing that the entire recovery system continues to operate efficiently throughout the continuous spraying process.
