Methods and Devices for Making Water Curtain Spray Booths: Techniques for Water Curtain Paint Spraying Rooms

The water curtain spray booth consists of a cabinet body, water tank, water curtain panel, water circulation system, and exhaust filtration system. While efficiently completing the painting process for workpieces, it effectively prevents waste paint from being released into the environment, thus avoiding pollution. The basic process of handling paint mist in a water curtain spray booth is as follows: Under the suction force of the exhaust fan, air containing paint mist flows toward the water curtain panel on the inner wall of the booth. A portion of the paint mist directly contacts the water film on the panel and gets adsorbed, while another part is washed away as the mist passes through the cascading water curtain. The remaining residual paint mist—those not captured by the water film or curtain—is further cleaned up by the exhaust filtration system. The water curtain spray booth itself comprises a booth chamber, water tank, stainless steel water curtain panel, water circulation system, and exhaust filtration system. It ensures efficient paint application during normal operations while effectively preventing waste paint emissions that could harm the environment. The water curtain panel features an advanced and well-designed structure, guaranteeing optimal indoor airflow velocity, enhancing coating efficiency, and maximizing the capture rate of residual paint. Additionally, this design maintains an even, continuous, and reliable water curtain without interruptions or splashing. The integrated vortex installation and modular assembly/disassembly of the gas-water separation baffle allow for thorough cleaning and separation of residual paint and water vapor, ensuring environmental cleanliness and simplifying the efficient management of paint residue buildup on the panel—a feature that greatly facilitates maintenance and upkeep. Now, let’s discuss the installation and operational procedures for the water curtain spray booth: 1. The water curtain spray booth should be installed on a level floor. Ensure that the horizontal deviation at the left and right ends of the water tank remains within ±2 mm, while the front-to-back deviation is adjusted to within ±5 mm. 2. Fill the water tank with clean water to a height of 170 mm (marked as the upper limit). 3. Power Supply System: The power supply must follow a three-phase four-wire configuration. The enclosure of the power equipment should be connected to the power system and grounded repeatedly, with a grounding resistance below 10 Ω. 4. Start the water pump (pay attention to the rotation direction), adjust the flow rate, and fine-tune the water curtain panel to create an even water curtain. If the water curtain fails to form a uniform film, gently scrub the panel with mild detergent to remove any grease or oil buildup. 5. To prevent paint from sticking to the side panels of the spray booth and becoming difficult to clean once dried, apply a thin layer of butter to the panels and cover them with a plastic film for easy removal later. 6. Turn on the exhaust fan (again, ensure proper rotation direction). Once the workpiece reaches the center position inside the booth, you can begin spraying. The water curtain spray booth is an essential piece of equipment in industrial production. During operation, it’s crucial to follow the correct usage guidelines carefully to avoid malfunctions caused by improper handling.
