The workflow of an eco-friendly car painting booth
An eco-friendly car painting booth is a device designed for spraying and baking automotive paint. When in use, it features mechanical control, helping to save space and offering convenient operation. Additionally, the booth enables forced drying of both primer and topcoats, significantly speeding up the workflow while enhancing both efficiency and coating quality. During the painting process, external air is first filtered through a primary filter before being delivered into the booth via a fan. It then passes through a secondary filtration system at the ceiling, ensuring thorough purification before entering the booth interior. Inside, the air flows downward in a fully laminar pattern at a controlled speed of 0.2–0.3 m/s. This unique airflow prevents paint mist particles from lingering in the air—instead, they are efficiently expelled directly through the bottom exhaust vents. The continuous circulation and filtration maintain an air cleanliness level exceeding 98% within the booth. Moreover, the incoming air is pressurized slightly, creating a stable airflow around the vehicle that effectively removes excess paint droplets, thereby maximizing the quality of the final coating. For the baking process, simply adjust the damper to the baking position, initiating a hot-air circulation cycle. The temperature inside the booth rapidly rises to the preset drying range (55°C–60°C). After initial filtration, the fresh air is heated through a heat exchanger before being directed into the upper air chamber of the booth. From there, it undergoes a second round of purification before circulating back into the booth via the internal damper system. Notably, while a small amount of fresh air is drawn in, most of the hot air is continuously reheated and reused, gradually raising the overall temperature inside the booth. Once the set temperature is reached, the burner automatically shuts off. If the temperature drops below the preset level, the burner and fan restart automatically, maintaining a consistently stable environment throughout the baking process. Finally, when the predetermined baking time is complete, the booth shuts down automatically, signaling the end of the painting cycle.
