Safety Operations and Precautions for Fuel-Powered Paint Booths
1. First, turn on the main power switch of the paint booth control console. 2. Open the air compressor’s air supply valve; check the oil-water separator and drain off all accumulated oil and water thoroughly; also verify that the air pressure reaches at least 4 kg/cm². 3. Turn on the paint booth lighting switch and the exhaust fan switch; ensure that ventilation is smooth and unobstructed. 4. Once the vehicle enters the paint booth, immediately close the booth door behind you. Staff members should always close the door after entering or exiting—non-authorized personnel are strictly prohibited from entering. This ensures the booth remains free from dust, oil stains, and wax contamination. 5. Absolutely no smoking or open flames are allowed inside the paint booth under any circumstances. 6. Construction personnel must take appropriate personal protective measures: wear a respirator mask and don protective work clothing to safeguard their health and maintain high-quality workmanship. 7. Before starting the painting process, set the temperature properly (between 60°C and 70°C) and establish the required baking time. Confirm that there is sufficient fuel available, then activate the painting switch—the booth will automatically begin operation. 8. After completing the painting job, promptly drive the vehicle out of the booth and immediately clean the interior surfaces. Finally, close the booth door tightly and turn off the main power switch. 9. Only personnel from the painting team are permitted to operate the paint booth; unauthorized non-technical staff must not attempt to use it without permission. **Important Notes for Paint Booth Operation:** (1) Before using the paint booth, thoroughly inspect the electrical system for proper functionality, check if the main unit is adequately lubricated, ensure all lights are working, and confirm that ventilation and exhaust systems are operating smoothly. (2) Never leave the booth unattended during operation. Carefully adjust the temperature and baking time, and in case of any malfunction, avoid forcibly restarting the system to prevent potential explosion hazards. (3) When operating the air compressor, regularly verify that the electrical system is functioning correctly. Monitor the motor temperature during prolonged use, and frequently check the compressor oil level as well as the drainage system of the air tank. (4) Always wear a mask or respirator when using the spray gun, maintaining a safe distance. For extended periods of work, take regular breaks to avoid oxygen deprivation or poisoning. (5) If vehicles need to be painted outdoors, carefully monitor the surrounding area for other vehicles to prevent overspray from landing on nearby cars, which could lead to undesirable consequences. (6) Strictly adhere to the prescribed painting procedures to avoid issues such as sagging, cracking, or surface imperfections. (7) After finishing painting, promptly clean and wash the booth thoroughly, ensuring it remains spotless. Also, make sure to maintain and service the spray guns promptly. (8) No activities unrelated to painting should be conducted inside the booth. (10) Regularly replace filtration materials to maintain optimal performance.
