What are the categories of spray booth coating process?
The spray booth is an indispensable part of spray-painting operations in modern industry. It mainly provides a controllable environment for spray painting. During the spraying process, various coating techniques can be carried out using a spray booth. The following are several common categories of coating processes.
Electrostatic Powder Coating Process
Powder is evenly sprayed onto the surface of the workpiece through electrostatic spraying equipment. The powder firmly adheres to the surface and then forms a hard and smooth coating through baking and curing. This process offers advantages such as high mechanical strength, strong corrosion resistance, and excellent coloring performance.
Air Spraying Process
Compressed air is used to spray atomized paint onto the surface of the workpiece. Air spraying is suitable for objects of various shapes and for multiple application scenarios. It is easy to operate and well suited to multi-variety, small-batch production. However, the paint utilization rate is usually relatively low.
Roll Coating Process
The coating material is applied to the roller. After a wet film of a certain thickness is formed, the roller rotates and comes into contact with the workpiece, evenly transferring the coating onto its surface. This process has a wide range of applications, low operating cost, and is suitable for coating large-area objects. However, the initial equipment investment cost is relatively high.
Liquid Coating Spraying Process
Liquid coating material is sprayed onto the surface of the workpiece through a high-speed rotating nozzle. The coating is ejected at high speed and forms a uniform layer upon contact with the surface. This process offers high spraying efficiency, controllable coating thickness, and wide applicability, but it requires relatively high technical expertise.
