What are the safety operating procedures for painters?

1. The operation of the paint booth must strictly follow the operating procedures provided by the manufacturer; unauthorized alterations to the operational flow or internal components of the booth are strictly prohibited. 2. Operators must wear clothing and safety protective gear that meet job requirements before entering the paint booth. Unauthorized personnel are not allowed inside. 3. During painting and baking operations, flammable materials (such as dye buckets, paint cans, etc.) must be kept out of the designated work area. 4. All flammable items, including various paints, thinners, gasoline, and other such materials, should be stored properly in designated areas. After use, they must not be discarded carelessly; when storing, ensure that container lids are tightly sealed. 5. Smoking is strictly forbidden in areas where paint materials are stored, as well as in nearby spaces and locations. Used paint containers must not be dumped randomly. Additionally, open flames or activities like electric welding or cutting are prohibited within the paint area. 6. Before performing tasks such as removing old paint, applying putty, blowing off dust, rust removal, mixing paint, or spraying paint, operators must wear appropriate protective equipment, including work uniforms, gloves, and respirators. 7. When painting vehicles, ensure that the vehicle is securely positioned. Never use buckets or boxes as makeshift scaffolding. 8. Both paint storage areas and spray painting facilities—including all electrical equipment in the paint booth, such as lighting, motors, and switches—must be equipped with explosion-proof designs. Regular inspections by qualified electricians are essential to prevent wiring issues and short circuits. 9. During construction, avoid actions like knocking, impacting, or rubbing, which could generate sparks and pose safety risks. 10. Cotton rags soaked with paint solvents or oils must be collected in designated containers and disposed of regularly and properly—never discarded randomly—to prevent spontaneous combustion. 11. After completing work, turn off the power supply, clean up the workspace, and perform routine maintenance on the paint booth. 12. Sufficient fire-fighting equipment must be readily available around the perimeter of the paint booth.
