The customer from Ethiopia is engaged in the coating of warehouse storage shelves. Previously, they relied on DIY spray booths for coating production. To meet consumers’ growing requirements for shelf corrosion resistance and structural stability, the customer ordered a complete set of coating production equipment, including a QX powder spray booth and a high-temperature baking booth.

This project is located in Ethiopia. The client specializes in the coating production of warehouse storage shelves, including various large-scale shelves and high-density storage rack systems. Traditional spray booth setups can no longer meet consumers’ increasingly personalized appearance requirements or their demand for stronger and more corrosion-resistant coatings. Therefore, there is an urgent need to renovate the existing production workshop and transform the production mode to better adapt to modern shelf design and manufacturing requirements.
To meet the diverse demands of the coating market and enhance overall market competitiveness, the client plans to upgrade the traditional workshop by introducing a new coating production line. This upgrade will transform the original single and rigid production mode into a more flexible, efficient, and customizable coating production system. Based on the customer’s requirements and the expected production results, QX engineers promptly designed and implemented a complete coating system for the workshop, including the installation of a powder spray booth and a high-temperature baking booth. With the operation of this new production line, the production capacity limitations and the drawbacks of a single-process workflow in the existing workshop are effectively resolved.
(1) Powder Spray Booth
Internal dimensions: 6900 × 2900 × 3800 mm
External dimensions: 7000 × 4700 × 4000 mm (including the exhaust fan width)
PVC curtain door: 2300 × 3500 mm (width × height)
Wall panels / ceiling panels: White foam boards and color steel plates
Powder recovery machines: 2 units, 3000 × 1000 × 2500 mm each
Centrifugal exhaust fan: 5.5 kW explosion-proof fan specially designed for spray painting
Lighting: 20 W dedicated explosion-proof LED light tubes
High-density dust removal filter cartridges: 12 units in total, each 325 mm in diameter and 900 mm in length
Anti-static dust collection bags: 24 units in total
Solenoid valves: 12 units in total
Integrated filter cartridge pulse jet blow heads: 12 units in total
Explosion-proof electrical system: 1 explosion-proof control box and 1 explosion-proof switch
Pulse controller: 1 unit
Powder spray guns: 3 units of QX-6800C powder guns

(2) High-Temperature Baking Room
Internal dimensions: 6800 × 2800 × 3800 mm
External dimensions: 7000 × 3000 × 4100 mm
Panel material: All-white A1-grade flame-retardant rock wool sandwich panels, thickness 100 mm, with 0.6 mm color steel plates
Heating system: Carbon fiber heating tubes, with an adjustable temperature of up to 220 °C. The internal wiring for the heating lamps is routed through metal cable trays and uses high-temperature-resistant cables.
Control panel: Button-type control box with customizable language options
