Several methods for handling paint mist exhaust gases used in paint booths

Guangzhou Qiangxin Spray Booth Electromechanical Co., Ltd. specializes in the professional production of various spray booths, baking rooms, and sheet metal painting booths. We are dedicated to providing tailored equipment solutions for industries such as machinery, environmental protection, and dust removal. Our Qiangxin spray booth products primarily utilize two key treatment methods: dry treatment (commonly employing activated carbon) and water curtain cabinet systems. Below is a brief introduction to how our equipment handles paint mist and exhaust gases: 1. Dry Spray Booth The Qiangxin dry spray booth features a simple yet robust design, ensuring uniform airflow and consistent air pressure. This results in minimal paint waste and high coating efficiency. Since no water is used, there’s no need for wastewater treatment, significantly reducing operational costs. The dry spray booth is widely recognized internationally as one of the most technologically advanced options available today. It addresses the shortcomings of older spray booth designs—such as severe contamination in the work area, poor paint mist handling, safety concerns, unstable performance, and failure to meet stringent environmental standards. Key advantages of the dry spray booth include its cutting-edge design, rational structure, attractive appearance, superior paint mist removal efficiency, stable performance, reliable safety features, excellent rigidity, and even, shadow-free lighting. 2. Water Curtain Spray Booth The Qiangxin water curtain spray booth is a wet-process system equipped with a water curtain panel at the front, an overflow trough above it, and multi-stage water curtain filters positioned behind the panel. During painting, incoming paint mist first comes into contact with the water curtain, where it is effectively washed away into a collection tank. Any remaining paint mist is then completely trapped within the water as it passes through the multi-stage water curtain filters. The water from the collection tank is pumped back up to the top of the water curtain panel and the multi-stage filters, where it overflows onto the water curtain panel, continuously forming a steady water curtain. Inside the booth, stainless steel water curtain panels are employed, featuring an advanced and well-designed structure that ensures optimal air flow velocity, enhances paint application efficiency, and boosts the capture rate of residual paint. Additionally, this design maintains a uniform, continuous, and reliable water curtain without interruptions or splashing. A unique feature of the water curtain system is its integrated vortex device and adjustable gas-water separation baffle, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly. This setup ensures thorough separation of residual paint particles from the water, effectively purifying the environment while simplifying the efficient removal and disposal of paint sludge. Such design elements make maintenance and upkeep exceptionally convenient. The water curtain spray booth comprises essential components like the booth body, water tank, stainless steel water curtain panels, water circulation system, and exhaust filtration system. While efficiently completing the painting process, it also effectively prevents waste paint from escaping and polluting the surrounding environment. **Working Principle of the Water Curtain Spray Booth:** Workpieces are either conveyed into the spray booth via a suspended conveyor system or placed manually on a rotating workbench. Operators then use handheld electrostatic spray guns or fixed rotary cup spray guns to apply paint evenly across the surfaces. When using electrostatic spray guns, the paint mist is efficiently captured and drawn toward the water curtain for purification. After passing through the water curtain, the mist undergoes further cleaning via a spray rinse before being directed through a gas-water separation unit, which releases purified air back into the workshop. Meanwhile, the collected paint mist is carried by the water flow into a holding tank, where it’s filtered again by a pump system. Any residual paint particles rise to the surface, where they can be easily removed using a coagulant agent, causing them to clump together into loose aggregates. These aggregates can then be scooped out and disposed of separately, ensuring clean water circulation and maintaining optimal booth performance. **Applications of the Water Curtain Spray Booth:** This system is ideal for single-sided painting applications and can also be expanded into multi-unit configurations for double-sided painting processes. **Scope of Application:** The water curtain spray booth is perfectly suited for painting operations across a wide range of industries, including machinery, automotive parts, metal products, decorative components, household appliances, and furniture manufacturing.
