Precautions for Using an Automotive Paint Booth

1. Before spraying, always check whether the spray air pressure is normal and ensure that the filtration system is clean. 2. Inspect the air compressor and the oil-water-mist separator to keep the paint hose free from contaminants. 3. Store the spray gun, paint hose, and paint mixing container in a clean, dust-free area. 4. Apart from using an air blow gun and static-dust removal cloth for surface cleaning, all other pre-spray procedures should be completed outside the paint booth. 5. Inside the paint booth, only spraying and baking operations are permitted. The booth door may only be opened when vehicles are entering or exiting. When opening the door, the booth’s air circulation system must be activated to maintain positive pressure, preventing external dust from entering the booth. 6. Only personnel wearing designated spray suits and appropriate safety protective gear are allowed to enter the paint booth for operations. 7. During baking operations, all flammable materials inside the booth must be removed to ensure safety. 8. Non-essential personnel are strictly prohibited from entering the paint booth. For routine maintenance, to maintain optimal performance of the paint booth, regularly perform the following cleaning and inspection tasks: 1. Clean the interior walls, glass surfaces, and base platform daily to prevent dust and paint residue buildup. 2. Weekly, clean the intake air filter and inspect the exhaust filter for clogging. If the booth’s internal air pressure rises unexpectedly, replace the exhaust filter immediately. 3. Replace the floor-level dust collection fiber cotton every 150 operating hours. 4. Replace the intake air filter every 300 operating hours. 5. Monthly, clean the water tray at the base platform and flush the diesel filter on the burner. 6. Quarterly, check the drive belts of the intake and exhaust fans for slackness. 7. Every six months, thoroughly clean the entire paint booth and its base platform mesh, inspecting the circulating air damper, bearings of the intake and exhaust fans, and the burner’s smoke exhaust channel. Additionally, remove sediment from the fuel tank, clean the water-based protective coating within the booth, and reapply a fresh coat if necessary. 8. Annually, clean the entire heat exchanger, including the combustion chamber and exhaust ducts. Also, replace the roof insulation cotton either annually or after every 1,200 operating hours.
